Caustic Song file (optional):
Had this tune on the back burner for ages. Was actually the second I ever started on Caustic, but I knew I could make it better. Every now and then, I revisited it and did a bit here and there.
The beginning sounds like being locked in a tumble dryer with a silver chain, but it actually is a sort of deep house/progressive Balearic trance/ number. I still think it could be better and it took a lot to make certain elements meet in the middle. I really like the chord structure and bass and would love for someone to do another version of it. It does end quite abruptly, and I could've gone on for quite a while with that second part, but didn't want to make another 15minute track.
Anyway hope you like it.
As always, any and every comment is welcome.
Enjoy :-D
Oh, if you wanna remix it or rework it, lemme know and I'll post the file
That's a really chilli'n summer track. Sitting in the sun at 30℃, my little 7 yr old daughter playing in the pool..while listening to this... Perfect moment!

Cheers buddy. Been a long time in the making but I think it turned out ok. Thanks for the comment :-)

Nice, me like it. Not as epic and characteristical as Chantra (it will be hard to beat it
), but it doesn't have to be every time. You've finally found the good sounding spanish guitar and you knew how to use it
You don't have to blow every track to 15 minutes (except for Chantra of course), if you feel creative just split your creativeness in 2 parts, simple as that

Cheers buddy. I think the main problem I had was trying to follow chantra, which I knew was special right from the start. Ultimately, we all want to improve on our last track, and I threw everything at chantra So xwas having a hard time with Iberia.
But I do love the chord structure and the guitar I'm kinda proud of too. I treated it a bit like a sculpture for the guitar, just chipping away a bit every day, playing it loads and then the missing bits came to me pretty easy, although laying it down like it was in my head was another matter lol.
And this was originally two different chord structures from two separate tunes. I put them together and it just sounded too good not to pursue it.
I might do a part two out of the last riff with the guitars. Maybe a bit like Daft Punk Disco style. Glad you like it still. Thanks for the comments. How you doing anyway?

Alexei, you know you have a real talent, like a lot of people here on the forum, and sometimes i do wonder what it takes to "make it" whatever that means. Anyway a real nice track here, great sounds and yeah the structure is real fab, gotta mention your guitar work man real nice, is it a preset or real, recorded in? it sounds real, very very nice

Good idea to go Dafty Punky Discoy style this time. You'll refresh your brain a little, I can imagine how hard is making 2 great tracks in a row in similar style, sometimes you need to go to something funnier, I'd like to hear your "funnier" side as well
And not too much on my side of the globe, I think I haven't touched Caustic for the last 2 weeks or so. I think I need to refresh myself a little, and try to start making a "third wave" of my tracks, something better and more detailed maybe, to finish this demo songs period madness
.
And in the meantime I'm trying to achieve 100% completion in GTA Chinatown Wars game, seems not too difficult except finding 9 more security cameras.
We'll see.

Wow wells, thanks dude. It's a soundfont from Hammer Sounds Website and it took freakin days to input so I'm really glad you like it. I woulda made some more for the build up too but it's hard to keep every section unique and fresh and also to fit the mood. Really chuffed that you think it sounds real amp I spent the whole day looking for a decent one, tried asking here too and eventually found that one.
And flither, sometimes you can be so inside something, you can lose perspective, so it's good to step away and regroup. Just come back at some point though cos I love your stuff.

¡Aye, dios mío! That's a great track. I love cooking to that type of music or Manu Chao. I'm half Mexican & half Spanish. Excellent work.

Cool. Mission accomplished then. That's why I called it Iberia. I think it's the weather affecting me, but I wanted to do a sort of flamenco style tune. I love Spain too. Not Jon keen on Spanish people speaking English if that makes sense. I blame speedy Gonzales. Really hate that mouse. I love modern family and Sofia Vergara is freaking hot. But when she talks it's like nails on a chalkboard for me lol.
For part two, I think I wanna explore the guitar a little bit, try and make the chord a bit more authentic, with slight bends etc. But it's a way off. Gotta couple projects first, then I got a wicked idea for a tune

Speedy is from México & Sofia is from Columbia. She's a cousin of my dental surgeon, Sandra Vergara. They don't sound alike...or, look similar. Although, Columbians do speak much more proper Spanish than Mexicans.

Is this why you were looking for a Spanish guitar sound?
So much has already been said and the positive feedback is well deserved but here is my 3 cents. This piece has great dynamics and you accomplish it without changing levels, you do it with changing rhythms and adding voices. I really liked it!

Thank you JHS. And everyone should give their three cents because every comment means something and I always am grateful.
And Fish, yes it is dude. I eventually got one from hammer sounds. Could only find a couple presets here and they weren't the right tone for the piece, so I eq'd this one a bit

My odd humour lol. Thanks dude. All these comments really do mean a lot cos I kinda fell outta love with it towards the end of making it, but a lot of that is about having a certain version in your head and trying hard to get it down. Definitely wasnt relaxing when I was making it. But really glad you like it and if you feel like remixing it, just gimme a shout and I'll post the file for you. So much scope in the chord structure. Definitely room for a rework or two. Part way through making it, I was actually thinking of doing a classical Spanish version with minimal drums and heavy pads, almost tv holiday show territory

Wow, impressive track. Love that guitar work, you've done an amazing job programming that in, it totally sounds like someone tinkering away live! Interesting & diverse throughout - great summer tune!

Cheers buddy. Always good to hear nice comments. It was days of listening to it on a two bar loop at a time to get it right and I still wouldn't say it's 100%, but almost lol. I think I need more work with mastering but my head was exploding trying to get it all there and not fighting with itself. If you listen to the Rank 1 remix of 24hours by Mat Zo, that's what I was kinda aiming for with the stabs and the bass in the build.
Someone once said to me that mastering was turning noise into sound. At the time I didn't quite get it but I do now lol. Glad so many people like it. I spent so long on it that I was starting to doubt it, so it's good to get so much good feedback from so many great artists
